ESR Campaign Guides – Wargaming Recon #246

Jonathan and Adrian are back together to discuss some campaign guides for Et sans resultat.  The duo share their thoughts on what they like and what they think can be improved (the salt flies here) with the following books:

  • The First Battle Lost 1809 in Germany
  • The Most Awful Situation 1814 in France
  • Didn’t Dare Do Anything 1812 in Russia

Note: Didn’t Dare Do Anything and The most awful situation are review copies provided by The Wargaming Company who is also a sponsor of the show.

LUMBER MILL

Sponsored by Things from the Basement

In the  Lumber  Mill  Jonathan erroneously says Things from the Basement’s Picnic Tables are from their Industrial line of kits.  The Picnic Tables are a stand alone purchase.  He also refers to them as picnic benches.  Clearly the salt got in his eye from the ESR discussion.

TOTALCON 2020

Jonathan and Adrian talk about everything the did (or didn’t do) at the Con. What they saw, bought, the videos they made and everyone they spoke to.

RISING PHOENIX GAMECON

Coming up in April (17-19) 2020 at the Doubletree in Milford, Massachusetts Wargaming Recon will be a featured guest and Jonathan will be there on the 18th doing recordings live from the con.

We did it!!!

The Kickstarter for the 2020 season of the Wargaming Recon podcast finished on February 19, 2020 and raised $2,211. We’ve had loads of responses, sent out a bunch of rewards early, and are working on getting everything fulfilled as quickly as possible.

As a special thank you to our backers we will be e-mailing discount codes out as soon as the manufacturers send them to us.

Please let us say again, THANK YOU for the support you’ve shown us in this endeavour.

Upcoming Guests

Gordon Firemark esq. – to discuss copyright law, trademark law and intellectual property laws as they pertain to recasting in the hobby industry.

Duncan ‘Two Thin Coats’ Rhodes – formerly of Games Workshop will be joining us to discuss painting miniatures and working in GW.

A short time ago we announced a giveaway when the Wargaming Recon Facebook page reaches 2,000 likes.  We hit this goal in early February, congratulations to John, Sigur and Dave for winning, their gifts have been sent out now. Again, thank you to everyone who has joined our online community.

The giveaway included kits from Things from the Basement.

Please throw us a like if you haven’t already and stay up to date on everything happening with the show as well as being included in any future giveaways we do this way.
