Hi There,

It`s been a little while since our last newsletter and we have lots to tell you; first off we have three great releases which have already been previewed at our open day: The Blight Drone, The Blood Slaughterer and The Khorne Daemon Prince and Herald. We also have news about our Warhound Titan range, upcoming events and the announcement that our new catalogue is ready!

Thanks
Alan Bligh

Blood Slaughterer
A murderous daemon-engine crafted by the servants of the Blood God Khorne, the Slaughterer is a spider-like and heavily armoured war machine larger than a dreadnought. Designed for furious close assault, where it is able to butcher swathes of enemy infantry as well as smash its way through barricades and armoured vehicles with ease.

This wonderfully vicious looking model designed by Phil Stutcinskas is covered in fantastic detail as you can see here from its ornate armour to the trapped victims and the ritual daemon-bindings on its chassis. A 360 degree view is also available here.

Full rules for the Blood Slaughterer can be found in our forthcoming book Imperial Armour Volume Seven, the Siege of Vraks Part Three.

The Blood Slaughterer is available to pre-order now for release the week commencing the 26th of May.

Blight Drone
Another new daemon-engine, this time in the service of Nurgle, Chaos God of decay and corruption is the Blight Drone. A bizarre fusion of daemon, machine and insect this deadly blasphemy of occult science is a skimmer armed with nightmarish toxic weapons.

This striking model, designed by Darren Parrwood, has some great details which depict the Blight Drone’s rusted and decay-pitted armour and bloated organic structure. You can see the Blight Drone Here as well as a great Blight Drone diorama by Mark Bedford. A 360 degree view is also availablehere.

Full rules for the Blight Drone can be found in our forthcoming book Imperial Armour Volume Seven, the Siege of Vraks Part Three.

The Blight Drone is available to pre-order now for release the week commencing the 26th of May.

A New Way to Purchase Your Warhound Titans
In response to popular demand, we will now be selling all of our existing Warhound titans, including the Mars, Chaos, Wolf and Jackal patterns have been split up so that the titan main bodies and their weapon arms are separate.

As a result our Warhound Titans will now be sold much like our Dreadnought range is with separate weapon options. This will enable us to expand our range more easily in future and help out our many customers who have asked to buy different weapons more freely.

However please note that the existing weapon arms for both the Mars and Chaos pattern Warhounds are ‘sided’ left and right and so may require some cosmetic conversion to use as a pair of the same weapon.

  Khorne Daemon Prince and Herald
The third of our new releases is our amazing Daemon Prince and Herald of Khorne. Designed by Simon Egan and Will Hayes, the Daemon Prince model stands 3 ¾ inches (9 ½ CM) tall. This brutal beast would be perfectly usable as a Daemon Prince or Greater Daemon either for Warhammer Fantasy Battle or Warhammer 40,000, as can the Herald which is a characterful and (not to mention gore-splattered) large and armoured Bloodletter in form and can be seen HereA 360 degree view is also available here.

Full rules for this Daemon Prince and his Herald as a special character can be found in our forthcoming book Imperial Armour Volume Seven, the Siege of Vraks Part Three.

The Khorne Daemon Prince and Herald is available to pre-order now for release the week commencing the 26th of May.

Hi There,
This newsletter we have three great new releases first seen at UK Games Day which I know many of you have been positively champing at the bit for; World Eater Chaos Lord Zhufor, the Ultramarines Venerable Dreadnought and our Ork Nob Warbikers.
For the Red Scorpions enthusiasts out there, we also have revised rules for Commander Culln, and you`ll find information about forthcoming events and Christmas ordering.
Keep a look out for another newsletter soon

Thanks
Alan Bligh

Khorne World Eaters Terminator Lord Zhufor
First introduced in Imperial Armour Volume 6, Lord Zhufor is the baleful leader of a World Eaters warband in service of the Blood God Khorne, and this model designed by Simon Egan and Will Hayes brings this character`s hellish savagery to life. This unique and stunning model features extraordinary detail, and is made up of fourteen separate components including both helmeted and bare heads and a banner pole featuring a grisly trophy in the shape of an Imperial Commissar`s impaled carcass.

You can see pictures of this much anticipated model Here.

This model is available for pre-order now for release the week commencing the 27th of October.

Ultramarines MKIV Venerable Dreadnought
A much requested expansion to our Space Marine range is the Ultramarines MKIV Venerable Dreadnought. Designed by Simon Egan and Will Hayes this model is bedecked with chapter specific iconography and battle honours as befits such a veteran lord of the battlefield, and features a particularly impressive banner bearing trophies claimed in conflict against the Tryanid menace.

As with our other Dreadnought models, arms must be purchased separately and it is compatible with our range of MK IV Dreadnought Arms which you can see pictured Here.

This model is available for pre-order now for release the week commencing the 27th of October.

Red Scorpions Rules Update
With the recent release of the new Space Marine Codex, we thought it was time to dust off the rules for Red Scorpions Commander Culln (as found in Imperial Armour Volume 4, The Aphelion Project) and update this hero of the Imperium.

You can find Commander Culln`s updated rules for download Here.

Christmas Ordering

The Holiday Season is still some time away, but here at Forge World we`ve already had a lot of people asking about our Christmas shipping dates. Last year we had a phenomenally high demand for our models, which resulted in delays for some of our customers in getting their orders in time for Christmas. The best thing to do to avoid potential disappointment is always place your order as soon as possible, and if there is a particular large item (such as a Titan, super heavy tank etc) that you`re after for Christmas, try and get the order with us by the end of November.

  Ork Nob Warbikes
New for the greenskin menace are our Ork Nob Warbikes designed by Will Hayes and Mark Bedford. This hybrid resin and plastic set of smoke-belching speed demons contains enough parts to make three Nob Warbikes. Many of the resin parts contained in the set are interchangeable with each other in a suitably Orky kit-bashing fashion and can be combined to make your own individual warbikers. You can find pictures of the Nob Warbikers Here.

This model is available for pre-order now for release the week commencing the 27th of October.
Events this Autumn
Forge World will be attending three smaller shows this Autumn, where we`ll have a sales stand carrying a selection of our stock as well as several members of our team on hand to answer your questions and offer a few sneak peeks of what`s to come.

Games Day Italy is being held on the 19th of October in Modena Italy, and for the first time, Forge World will be there.

“The Frenzy” in Utrecht in the Netherlands is being held on 8th of November, if you’d like to place a reservation for this event, you must do so by the 26th of October.

Scale Model World is being held on the 15th and 16th of November at the International Centre in Telford in the UK. If you’d like to place a reservation for this event, you must do so by the 2nd of November.

You can place a reservation order with us for either “The Frenzy” or “Scale Model World” events either by giving us a ring or by emailing us at fwreservations@games-workshop.co.uk and clearly marking the event that the reservation is for in the subject line, by the deadline shown for the event.

World Eaters Preview

As I hinted in the last newsletter, Nurgle is not the only Chaos Power whose servants we will be seeing in our forthcoming book, Imperial Armour Volume 6: The Siege of Vraks Part 2. The blood-drenched warriors of Khorne will also feature prominently, and you can see the first preview pictures of our new World Eaters Chaos Marine Berserkers and Terminators here. These homicidal worshipers of The Blood God should be available for pre-order in near future, and as with our new Death Guard conversion sets (currently available for pre-order), they represent some of the fantastic new releases representing the dark forces gathering to war on Vraks, -so keep an eye out on future newsletters for more previews.

The Forge World Open Day

Forge World will be holding its second Open Day event at Warhammer World in Nottingham on Sunday the 6th of April. This event is free to enter and proved a great success last year. White Dwarf #336 Quick Picks http://www.wargamingforums.com/testblogging/white-dwarf-336-quick-picks/ Sun, 06 Jan 2008 06:51:07 +0000 http://wargamingforums.com/white-dwarf-336-quick-picks/ We scoured the new WD and have chosen 5 Quick Picks for your perusal. If you hate reading the entire mag, have a short attention span, or just want the best here’s 5 sections you can’t miss. Our top pick is the Design Studio A Year in Review/What the Future Holds.

Don’t forget to read the complete table of contents for WD #336 from our article Inside White Dwarf #336 Jan. 2008.

  1. Tactica Aeronautica p. 15. Nice expansion for Forgeworld’s Aeronautica Imperialis. Provides a clix atmosphere to 40k air combat and adds a healthy dose of Tau.
  2. Waaagh! Da Orks: Design Notes p. 22-35. The who, what, when, where, how and why of the new Orks. This is complete with sample list, breakdown or sprues, and painting guide. It is a one stop overview for all Ork Warbosses.
  3. Design Studio: A Year in Review/What the Future Holds p. 60-65. If you spent 2007 on Mars you missed all the great GW achievements. Improved customer service, Apocalypse, and tons of codices just to name a few. A terrific peek at 2008’s many surprises is included too!
  4. Lord of the Rings: Movie Moments p. 66-71. This pick is dedicated to scoper22 who reminded us of how kickass LotR is. The game is all about the epic, in value or scope, moments portrayed on screen. You will get loads of ideas for recreating your favorite movie moments in this wonderful article.
  5. Warhammer Tactica: Flying Creatures p. 84-89. Much ink has been devoted to 40k of late. But, we mustn’t forget Warhammer Fantasy. Flying monsters are terrifying if used properly. Thankfully this article will set you on the straight and narrow.
