12-7-Games, proud sponsor of the CWF Game Cast, is running a brilliant reverse auction for ForuMINI members.
You can find the full rules at Axis & Allies ForuMINI :: 12-7-Games Reverse Auction-W@S Base Set & Task Force. But, here are the basics. All singles (rares starting no less than $7 and commons/uncommons no less than $@) from the Base Set and Task Force are eligible. Every 24 hours their price decreases by $1. All bids must be publicly posted in reply to the linked to thread on the ForuMINI. Shipping is $2.50 and no more than one 1 item per ForuMINI member (not per account, per member).
If you participate in the reverse auction, then please let 12-7-Games know that you found out about it here. They’re our sponsor and they like to know where their customers hear about them. Good luck!
Recently, visitors may have experienced some difficulties with the blog. I was alerted to a few problems that needed to be fixed.
The most pressing issue concerned registering a user account. Some users were notified they did not have sufficient Javascript capabilities, others could not log in to their account for the first time, and others never received their logins. I utilize a variety of anti-spam, anti-virus, and anti-bot capabilities to preserve the blog’s integrity while also making sure visitors have a safe gaming environment. Those methods were a little too stringent. With some tweaking I have been able to solve all of the problems that some users faced when registering their accounts.
The other area of concern were our image galleries. We have many galleries showcasing card scans, screen shots, press photos, and more for the games we discuss. When we upgraded to the latest version of WordPress, and associated plugins, an error triggered one of them. The afflicted plugin helped us to better manage our media library. But, it was diseased and caused the images to not display. We have removed that plugin and are happy to state that our image galleries are properly functioning.
I apologize for the inconvenience these problems have caused you. If you notice any other problems, please send us an e-mail at cwfgamecast [at] wargamingforums [dot] com.
We have the first shots inside Battleground Games & Hobbies Plainville. The store is being renovated to fit the needs of a game store. In these pictures you will see Derek Lloyd, owner, and two BG regulars (Rich and Bryan) helping to paint the store. All photos were taken by Chase Laquidara, BG Plainville manager, and belong to Battleground Games.
We will update you with changes as new photos become available.
Derek Lloyd, the owner of Battleground Games & Hobbies, announced the opening of a second store in Plainville on the Foxboro border. Lloyd made the announcement in a press release on the store’s Facebook group and on the store’s online message board.
Big news! We are excited to announce that Battleground Games & Hobbies is expanding! The lease is signed and we will be opening a second store at 25 Taunton Street, Plainville, MA (near Attleboro/Foxboro). A September 1st opening is planned, followed by a Grand Opening Celebration shortly after. The new location will have all that you’ve come to expect from our Abington store and more: a clean, well-stocked, diverse game store that works hard to provide a comfortable, inviting environment for the community to enjoy.
