Sneak Peek Side Quest 2 Goblins in the Streets

Imperium Star Games is following up their initial hit, Temple of Stone, with Side Quest 002 Goblins in the Streets, which releases on 1/11/11 (tomorrow) from DriveThruRPG.com for just $2.50.

Goblins is their second D&D 4e adventure from their Side Quest line. It does officially release TODAY but Adam McLaughlin, the owner, games at Battleground Games & Hobbies and he was nice enough to give us an advance copy.

The adventure is geared for a party of five adventurers levels 6-8 but can be adapted to any other level.

A small town is being terrorized by a gang of goblins, they have driven off the trade caravans, ruined crops and are kidnapping anyone who is out at night. the local law have either been killed or run off, if something isn’t done soon they may take the whole town and spread to others.

We will be giving away a few copies of this adventure to five people who submit name suggestions for our podcast that we like the best! Send us your suggestions now before we run out of Goblins in the Streets.

Podcast Episode 45 Delayed, No Episode on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Dear Listeners,

Eepisode 45 of the podcast has been delayed. Additionally, no episode will be released on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

There was a death in my family on Friday, January 7th. This, along with the almost 2 hours and 30 minute running time of Episode 45 (before editing), has resulted in the delay of that episode’s release.

We normally record on Tuesday evenings, which allows me to edit the episode and release it late the following Monday evening/early the following Tuesday morning. Between the wake and funeral I will not have the time to record Episode 46 as usual. I am deeply sorry to make you, our faithful listeners, wait for Episode 45’s release and also to make you wait an extra week for Episode 46 to be recorded and then released.

Please know that Tom and I will return to co-hosting the podcast on a weekly basis after this time of sorrow for my family.

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011

Today is New Year’s Eve and as is the custom we are reflecting on the past year while also looking forward to the new year.

Two thousand and ten saw many changes at the CWF Game Cast. All of them proved good in some way and some of them proved excellent in every way. It saw the end of a lengthy hiatus on the blog with one of our first ever instances of live blogging for the 3rd Annual 40k Megabattle hosted by Battleground Games & Hobbies. Sporadic posting focused on War at Sea before exploding with reviews such as our first Editor’s Choice recipient 12-7-Games who received 96% out of 100 in our review.

The growing number of blog posts only tells part of the story. We picked up our first sponsor, 12-7-Games, as after they read our review. Their sponsorship has allowed us to do things we’ve only ever dreamed of. We ran our first contest where contestants had to state how gaming positively, or negatively, impacted their lives. The winner received their choice of Axis & Allies Minis or War at Sea booster. We accepted submissions on our Twitter feed (please follow us), which received much love in 2010, on our blog and on our brand new Facebook page (now with 40 fans, please keep them coming). Tone Knight of the United Kingdom won and received his booster courtesy of our sponsor.
