- It provides a safe space in which to deal with social anxiety (i.e. exposure therapy)
- It can encourage you to try new things (new games, new places, new experiences)
- It gives nearly instant feedback to help decipher what works well and what is a trigger for anxiety
- It incentivizes through reaching goals. Assembling a squad of troops. Painting a house. Planning a scenario. Playing a game.
- Allows one to have control of something even when everything else feels like it is spinning out of control.
