On our plate are articles about the BG Plainville Grand Opening, my FoW Mid-War Panzerkompanie assembling/painting process, a review of The Whiz, and updating our map of New England gaming locations (stores, conventions, etc). I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that http://www.12-7-games.com sponsors both Hermes and our regular blog. They’re our Editor’s Choice Award winning online vendor selling historical gaming with a focus on War at Sea and Axis & Allis Minis. They make it possible for me to blog about gaming, to game, and to go to great stores like The Whiz and Battleground Games.

We recently installed Postini to protect our e-mail address from viruses and spam. It seems that Postini is too aggressive and has not allowed any e-mail to reach us since 5pm EST on 9/8/10. If you e-mailed us between then and now please send your e-mail to us at jon@frakmedia.net.
We have Blue Host, our web hosting company, looking into the issue to help us resolve this. At worst we will remove Postini protection. More information to come as we have it.

somehow the blog messed up the layout on its own. probably a div tag that caused the sidebar to move…again. Not sure how I’m liking the 2010 theme because of this.

If we made a map of game related locations would you use it?

Made the map for all Mass gaming stores and some other locations. Had it http://wargamingforums.com/new-england-gaming-locations/ then for some reason when I edited it the correct map didn’t show. Now it has some blips on the map but no information. Need to work on it again to get it correct. 45 minutes of my life down the drain…. /shakes fist at WPG-Mappity http://www.wordpresspluginfu.com/wpgmappity/

Working on future contests. Yes, they’ll have prize support. Can’t yet share details on what the contests will be or when they will be run.

I think the first contest may be almost ironed out. If all goes as planned then I can start it very soon. Stay tuned to this space for progress.

Contemplating sharing pictures of new GW product. We used to do it in the old days (see http://wargamingforums.com/tag/sneak-peeks/) but not sure if we want to return to that. So many projects and never enough time to do them all. It would be nice to share more multimedia (podcasts and pics of new product to name a few). If only we had more people creating content on the blog, then it would be much easier.

Updating some stuff behind the scenes. Due to moving residences we will be without internet access until August 31st. We will have new content for you as soon as we’re hooked up again. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Did you see our Editor’s Choice review of Battleground Games in Abington? The company earned our first ever 100% review and second ever Editor’s Choice award (first for a brick and mortar store). What about the reply from Derek Lloyd, Owner of BG? Stay tuned for new photos from BG Plainville?
The e-mail is now working. Please send all e-mail to cwfgamecast@wargamingforums.com like before. In fact, if you would send us a test e-mail we’d appreciate it. Postini was a little overzealous and we want to make sure all legitimate e-mails get through.
