Hosts Jonathan J. Reinhart and Tom Barbalet’s record together for the first time in weeks. Jonathan reviews his first trip to a con when he attended TotalCon 25. Tom recounts his trip to the Californian Bay area with coverage of their local book and game stores.
Some discussion is held of Rick Priestley leaving Games Workshop. Tom remembers that we had the scoop before the rumors even hit the blogosphere. He asks Henry Hyde to get the skinny and let us know.
Jonathan updates the War at Sea contest, first mentioned in Episode 47, and then discusses the new blog design. Tom throws down the gauntlet to WWPD: News From the Front in relation to our War at Sea contest. The contest ends on March 31, 2011.
Discussion winds down with Tom talking about his book, Field of Chaos.

Nice show, guys. I’m not sure how much I can ‘dish the dirt’ on Rick’s exit from GW — though your dare about getting sued for trying is very tempting indeed! :-D
I certainly hope to be able to hook up with you for a podcast chat sometime soon, perhaps in April? I’m recording a new episode of “View from the Veranda” with Neil Shuck of Meeples & Miniatures next week, so maybe that will give you some ideas for further discussion.
Incidentally, there was a noise in the background of this podcast that sounded like someone whisking cream or something. It made me very hungry!
Hi Henry.
I didn’t notice the noise when we recorded but heard it while editing. That is my bunny Malcolm drinking from his water bottle. He is very noisy. My bunny Sally is very quiet but Malcolm likes to be heard. He’s has appearances on previous episodes.
I know that Steven from WWPD has previously commented about hearing the bunnies. His cat made an appearance on his show once. And, one of Tom’s cats appeared in a video on this blog. We’re just being inundated by animals.
Maybe that is a segment? We’d love to have you on the show. I know Tom, in particular, is looking forward to interviewing you. That would be one fantastic episode!
Thanks,
Jonathan
