Wargamers’ Terrain Review – Wargaming Recon #181

Wargamers’ Terrain is made by Joe Linares from western Massachusetts.  It is often found as a vendor at New England conventions such as Huzzah.  Each piece is made by hand, not by casting.  The company began in 2003.

Ordering

Add specific items to cart on their website.  Pay via Paypal when finishes (You get Paypal’s protection plus you can include notes!!!) After Jonathan ordered he received an e-mail from Joe asking his color preference for the rivers.

By default they are blue/green.

Other options are:

  • Mostly blue
  • Mostly green
  • Mostly brown
  • You can also ask for other color combos

You can also get custom shapes instead of the default.  Just contact Joe in advance. Jonathan placed order end of 2nd week in November 2016, it was shipped via USPS with tracking on Dec 1st, 2016. It then arrived Dec 3rd, 2016. The longest wait is time for products to cure.  Several days for fences etc

Conclusion

We highly recommend Wargamers’ Terrain products. The FlexRivers in particular are quite exceptional.

Listener Kyle said of Ep179 5 Convention Pet Peeves. “For me it boils down to this: If I am going to spend lots of time and money to attend a convention. I want to make sure that I know exactly what I am registered for and that I don’t have to worry about any hiccups. I know that these people are volunteers, so I am willing to cut them some slack. Having said that, I wasn’t pleased that [a local con] opened up registration early[ier than expected]. It definitely cost me some games.”

Where is the website for Wargamers’ terrain? This company is extensively talked about but no mention of contact info. Give approximately a price for items. Dimensions would be helpful for each gaming range size.
